Fetterman believes inflation is a tax on the working class. As such, he supports lifting the Federal Gasoline Tax to bring immediate relief to pump prices across America. Not stopping there, a more fair tax code that doesn't exclusively benefit the upper class is something Fetterman looks forward to having his hand in.
Further, he believes that strengthening supply chains will help to reduce inflation's effect in times of future economic hardship.

Investing in American energy and into programs that help low-income households pay their energy bills is the best way to bring down the total expenses of the Americans hurting most in the current economic climate.

"Basically," Fetterman says, "the bottom line is that we have to make more stuff in America and bring manufacturing and jobs back home — not just to America, but to right here in Pennsylvania."

Mehmet Oz's website states that the "failing economy" is a direct result of "Biden's over-spending", but fails to detail any plan to remedy the sitution, other than "reversing Biden's failed agenda."

Fetterman recently became the first of his colleagues to call for an end to the filibuster, which he views as nothing more than a roadblock to "getting things done for Pennsylvanians."
He has said that he will "fight like hell to expand voting rights and push for reforms that get big money out of politics and prevent politicians from picking their voters through partisan gerrymandering."
In addition, he looks forward to increasing protections from those who desire to "simply throw out votes they disagree with", and plans to fight against the ability of those in Congressional leadership to hold and trade stock.

Oz supports Voter ID laws and will adamantly oppose any action that seeks to move power from the states to the federal government in terms of election execution and oversight.

Fetterman has remained unwavering in his stance on the issue of gun control, stating, " I’m a gun owner, and I’ve been around guns my whole life. I want what an overwhelming majority of Americans, including the majority of gun owners, want – which is common sense gun safety measures. We need universal background checks, red flag laws, and more proactive efforts to get illegal guns off our streets."

The only comment on immigration from Oz's website reads,
"Dr. Oz believes that one of the core responsibilities of the federal government is to protect you. In order to do that, we need to have a secure border with a barrier – whether that is a physical wall or one patrolled by technological advances."

As the Mayor of Braddock, PA--and its Chief Law Enforcement Officer--Fetterman worked hand-in-hand with the Chief of Police, police officers, and the community to reduce violent crime. He's stated that one of the achievement he's most proud of is going 5 1/2 years without a single death by gun violence.
To remind himself of his own commitment, his forearms feature the tattooed dates of "everyone who died on [his] watch."
In addition to ensuring proper resources, Fetterman plans to prioritize oversight, accountability, and violence prevention.

Oz says he is a strong supporter of law enforcement and "will make sure they always have the resources they need." He has also stated that he is against "anti-law policy" such as cashless bail.
