About the Recipe

Proof that not every Halloween treat needs sugar to be sweet! These Mandarin Orange “Pumpkins” are a fresh, festive twist on healthy snacking — juicy mandarin cups or peeled oranges topped with a tiny celery “stem” to look just like mini pumpkins. They’re adorable, portable, and packed with vitamin C instead of candy corn. Perfect for school parties, office snacks, or balancing out the sugar rush at home, these cheerful little pumpkins bring the spirit of the season and a bit of nutritional sanity to your spooky spread.

Ingredients

  • 6–10 mandarin oranges (peeled)

  • Something green for the stem: e.g., small green candy stick, green licorice, or green Mike & Ike.

Preparation

Step 1

Peel mandarin oranges, keeping them intact.

Step 2

Insert one small green candy stick (or similar) into the top of each orange to serve as the “pumpkin stem”.

Step 3

Arrange on a platter. These are no-bake, no-fuss, and perfect for a quick healthy snack.
