About the Recipe
Creepy never tasted so cozy. These Peanut Butter Spider Cookies are the perfect mix of sweet, salty, and spooky—soft, chewy peanut butter cookies crowned with a chocolate truffle “spider body” and candy eyes that seem to follow you wherever you go. They’re a Halloween classic for a reason: simple enough for kids to help make, delicious enough for adults to steal, and guaranteed to spin a web of smiles at any party or bake sale. A little eerie, a lot of peanut buttery goodness—these spiders are the kind you actually want in your kitchen.

Ingredients
12 peanut-butter cookies (store-bought or homemade)
12 mini Reese’s peanut butter cups
¼ cup semi-sweet chocolate, melted (for legs)
Optional: 24 mini candy eyeballs
Preparation
Step 1
Melt chocolate in microwave or double boiler, stirring until smooth.
Step 2
On each peanut-butter cookie, place a dab of chocolate, then press a mini Reese’s cup.
Step 3
Using melted chocolate in piping bag or small zip-bag with a corner snipped, draw 8 “legs” (4 each side) around the Reese’s cup.
Step 4
If using candy eyeballs: dab a bit of melted chocolate on front of Reese’s and press eyes.
Step 5
Let cookies set. Store at room temp 5-6 days or freeze up to 2 months.
