About the Recipe

All the nostalgia, none of the sticky chaos. These Simplified Caramel Apples capture the magic of fall without the candy-coated struggle — just crisp apple slices dipped in smooth caramel (or drizzled for a little extra flair), then topped with crushed nuts, sprinkles, or whatever seasonal sparkle your heart desires. They’re quick to make, easy to eat, and a surefire way to bring the fairground feeling right to your kitchen. Less mess, more yum — now that’s a sweet deal.

Ingredients

  • 6 medium apples [washed, dried, stems intact]

  • Caramel [either store-bought caramel bits or simple homemade version]

  • Optional: toppings like chopped nuts, sprinkles, chocolate drizzle.

Preparation

Step 1

Wash and thoroughly dry apples. Insert wooden sticks into stems [for easy dipping].

Step 2

Melt caramel [if bits, follow package instructions] or, if using simple homemade, melt caramel & a bit of heavy cream until smooth.

Step 3

Dip each apple into caramel, spinning to coat evenly. Let excess drip off.

Step 4

Immediately roll or sprinkle in toppings if desired. Place on parchment-lined tray to set. Chill if needed. Serve once caramel sets [approx. 15-30min].

Pro-Tip: Use baking sheet lined with foil for easier cleanup.
